HC Division operated as Pharma and Medical Divisions when B. Braun Medical (HK) Ltd. was established in Hong Kong in 1985.

A joint venture pharmaceutical factory, Shenyang B. Braun Pharma Ltd. was set up in 1995 in Shenyang, China for local production of Plasma Volume Replacement product (Gelofusine).

Pharma and Medical Divisions merged into Hospital Care Division in 1999. In Dec. 2001, production of PVR product was 100% localized in Shenyang after fully accomplishment of GMP.
